Who loves tours? We do!

Budapest is a much larger city than Prague, and we were fairly certain we wouldn’t be able to explore the whole thing by foot with the kids, so we bought tickets to one of those hop-on hop-off buses.  As a bonus, it came with a night tour and a boat tour.

I didn’t take a lot of pictures while we were on the bus, and we got off for the first time at Hero’s Square.  It was windy and cold, so it was just a quick stop, and the kids weren’t hugely excited about posing for pictures.

We quickly moved along to the Buda Castle.  Sophie was slightly panicked about riding up the funicular…

And while the view from the top was beautiful, it was still very windy and cold…

So we had a quick walk around the outside portion of the castle…

Then headed into the Budapest History Museum, which is housed inside the castle.  You’re not allowed to take pictures inside the museum unless you buy a permit, but it was an interesting museum which Ben and I enjoyed, and the kids endured.

As we hopped back on the bus to head home we were excited (well, Sophie and Connor were excited) to find there were seats available on the open top of the bus.  Brrr…
