Day and Night

Friday was cold and rainy, so we spent the entire day indoors, recovering from all of our sight seeing.  When Saturday came around, we were ready to stretch our legs.  We got back on the tour bus and headed back to Hero’s Square.  Along with the actual square, this area has a lovely park with walking paths, a restaurant, a playground, and museum.

We were ready for lunch after all of that walking, and they told us on the tour that the New York Cafe was meant to be the most beautiful restaurant in Europe, so we decided to give it a try.  I can’t say for sure if it’s the most beautiful in all of Europe, but it definitely wins in all of Budapest.

That would normally be enough for one day, but we still had the night tour to do, so we went home for a rest, then bravely set off at 8pm with two very tired children.  I didn’t get many pictures, but we did have some amazing views of the city lit up at night.

And at 10pm we led home two sleepy kids and collapsed into bed, dreaming of the boat tour we had planned for the next day.
